Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies and similar browser-storage technologies Tivdoc OT (the "App") uses, why we use them, and how you can opt out. It is maintained by Yonatan Gazit, the builder of the App.

What are cookies?

"Cookies" are small text files a website stores in your browser. "Local storage" and "session storage" are similar browser-side stores. The App uses these technologies sparingly, only for what's needed to make the App work and to keep you signed in.

What we use

1. Strictly necessary (always on)

  • Authentication session — stored in browser local storage by the authentication provider so you stay signed in across page loads. Cleared when you sign out.
  • Security tokens — short-lived tokens used to authorize API calls from the App to the backend.

These are required for the App to function. Disabling them will prevent sign-in.

2. Functional

  • UI preferences — e.g. selected language for fact-checking, if applicable, so the App remembers your choice on the same device.
  • Install prompt state — the browser's own "Add to Home Screen" / install prompt may set storage; this is controlled by the browser, not the App.

3. Analytics

The App may collect basic, aggregate usage analytics (page views, route hits, error reports) to help the builder improve reliability. Analytics are collected without selling data and without cross-site advertising profiles. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are set by the App.

4. Third-party services

When you sign in with Google or Apple, those providers may set their own cookies on their own domains as part of the OAuth flow. Their cookie policies apply to that activity.

How to opt out or clear cookies

  • Sign out from the App to clear the authentication session stored in your browser.
  • Clear site data in your browser settings to remove all cookies and local storage for tivdocot.com. In most browsers: open the page, then Settings → Privacy → "Clear browsing data" / "Cookies and other site data" for this site.
  • Block cookies for this site in your browser's site-settings panel. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and the "Download App" feature from working.
  • Browser-level Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control signals, if your browser sends them, are respected for non-essential analytics where supported.
  • Use without an account — you can use the App's listening features without signing in, which avoids the authentication session storage entirely.

Your responsibility

Managing the cookies and local storage in your own browser is your responsibility. The builder of the App, Yonatan Gazit, accepts no responsibility for browser configuration or for cookies set by third-party providers. See the Terms, Privacy Policy, and Disclaimer.

Changes

This policy may change as the App evolves. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
